About Sanja's story
When I read Sanja's story,I am impressed about her life. When she was 24 years old,she and her famyly came to Asutralia as refugees, they lost all things and went throug mightmare after the war. Before they came to Australia, they had a normal life, they were very comfortable, they had good jobs and nice lifestyles.I think it was a very terrible esperience for her young life.
When she came to Australia, she put all her energy into learning English and looking for a job.She sent a lot of application forms to find a job,but they even't replied. At first she felt very disappointed, but after her teacher helped her,she send them again,Finally she passed the test and got a bottom level job,but she did it very hard. After a while, the people trusted her and offered her a supervisor's job.she knew as a new migrant,if you want to start a new life in a strange country, you have to do everything very hard, because all people judge you on the performance they see.
I identified with Sanja. We all have a similar experience,we are migrants,we all came form overseas.English is very hard for us.Sanja at first, when she came to Australia, she studied English very hard.We know learning English is the only way to live well here.If our English isn't good enough,we can't find a good job.
At first, she wasn't successful in finding a job,but she didn't give up.She through her teacher's help found a job.But this job was a bottom job,but she couldn't expect to walk into top job in a new country. She did it very hard.
I remember when I found my first job when I came to Australia.I worked in a restaurant,it was very hard and a bottom job,but I did it very seriouly. After one month, the manager praised me and raised my wages.
Sanja said:the fight is not over when you get the job--you have to keep it.
I thinkwe are a new migrants in here,my life renew in a strange country,we have many plans in our life, but we know we can't achive everything all at once.So we have get more courage in life when we lose everything,we must make a new beginning and have the courage to push ourself to do thing.
We know we can't give up the life.

Sue, it looks as if you have realised that it's good to have goals, but they have to be realistic. It's true that you can't get everything you want quickly. Everything takes time and effort. Knowing this will help you achieve what you want without getting frustrated. And it's good to know there are many people who have done it before us.
